Student Workshops
To complement our ‘Adventures in Metacognition’ resources we also offer workshops for students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. These workshops, typically delivered in person by one of our training team, are designed to offer an external ‘voice’ that introduces a school’s learners to how their memory works and how to apply that knowledge to learn, study and revise better.

Make it Stick – ‘Let’s Get Studying’ (KS3)
This workshop (available as a single or 2x 90 minute inputs) is aimed at KS3 students to ensure that they are ‘study ready’ as they consolidate and develop their learning independently. ‘Make It Stick -Let’s Get Studying’’ explores the purpose of studying and introduces a variety of ideas that can be used both in school and at home. The workshop aims to nurture student independence by equipping learners with the knowledge of research-informed tools and strategies that will support them with their independent study and help them to achieve their goals. In addition, your students will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the brain, focus on positive factors that influence the brain’s performance and look at how they can organise information effectively to promote accurate recall. Every student that participates will be given an accompanying handbook to support the process as they are guided through a series of engaging tasks and activities. Whilst being supported by a trained consultant, the workshop will enable your students to understand themselves better as learners and help them to reflect upon meaningful and relevant next steps as they continue their academic journey.
